Treadwell and Martin

​

were the architects of the house in 1896. They were an avant garde partnership from London where many of their zany pubs and office buildings can still be seen. The style is definitely Edwardian, although in 1896 it was ahead of its time. The house is shown on the Heritage England online photo-graphic archive of notable buildings.
